Brian O’Donnell, a past
President of the Local Government Engineers Association
recently joined PGA with 35 years’ experience
in Local Government.
Brian has until recently, managed the Melbourne
regional office of HDS Australia, and was responsible
for municipal engineering activities undertaken
by HDS Australia as well as being directly involved
with various waste management and other town planning
projects on behalf of private sector and local government
clients.
As a qualified Town Planner, Brian was responsible
for town planning and waste management services
to municipalities and the private sector. He has
appeared before the Victorian Civil Appeals Tribunal
(VCAT) as an expert witness and has provided traffic
management advice to municipalities and the private
sector.
Prior to joining HDS, Brian gained significant and
wide experience as City Engineer/City Planner for
the City of Oakleigh, and for over 20 years he has
conducted traffic and parking studies and managed
Local Area Traffic Management schemes.
Brian is currently a member of the State Executive
of Engineers Australia, Chairman of the Board of
Engineering, Executive Member of the National College
of Civil Engineers and a member of National Board
of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia.
